Demodex Shampoo for Scalp and Body Cleansing

Demodex mites naturally inhabit human hair follicles and associated sebaceous glands. They may also be present on the scalp, where numerous follicles and oil-producing glands create a suitable environment. Regular cleansing helps remove excess surface oil, dead skin cells, impurities, and accumulated buildup.
A rinse-off shampoo should be viewed as a supportive cleansing step rather than a product that permanently eliminates every Demodex mite. Its role is to help maintain a cleaner and more comfortable scalp environment as part of a consistent care routine.
Purifying Ingredients for the Scalp
The formula combines Tea Tree Oil and Piroctone Olamine with a carefully selected blend of botanical extracts, including Cnidium Monnieri Extract, Stemona Japonica Extract, Sophora Angustifolia Root Extract, and Platycladus Orientalis Leaf Extract.
These ingredients complement the cleansing formula by supporting a fresh, purified scalp and helping remove excess oil and visible buildup. The shampoo leaves the scalp and hair feeling thoroughly cleansed without the need for aggressive scrubbing.
Can Shampoo Remove Demodex Mites?
Shampoo can help wash away surface oil, impurities, loose skin cells, and debris from the scalp and hair. However, Demodex mites live primarily within hair follicles and associated glands rather than simply resting on the surface.
For this reason, washing the hair once cannot confirm that Demodex mites have been eliminated. Consistent and appropriate scalp cleansing is more useful than repeatedly washing, scratching, or using excessively hot water.
Redness, dryness, burning, or increased itching after washing should not be interpreted as proof that mites are dying. These reactions may indicate irritation or sensitivity to a product.

Purifying Body Wash

Gentle and consistent cleansing is preferable to harsh scrubbing. Over-washing can disturb the skin barrier and increase dryness or discomfort.
Directions for Use
For the scalp and hair:
Wet the hair and scalp thoroughly. Apply a small amount of DemSol® Purifying Shampoo & Body Wash and gently massage it into the scalp using the fingertips. Work the product through the hair to create a lather, then rinse thoroughly with water.
For the body:
Apply to wet skin and gently massage over the desired areas to create a lather. Rinse thoroughly with water.
Regular use:
Use regularly as part of your scalp and body cleansing routine. Avoid scratching or aggressive scrubbing, particularly when the skin or scalp is already sensitive or irritated.
Important: For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Do not use on broken or severely irritated skin. Discontinue use if persistent irritation occurs.
