new, with a couple questions

Hi.
I've been lived with rosacea for 10 years now, tried it all, not anymore, almost done. Except for this site there's TOO many things/products to try I've given up, and on Dr's.
After 10 years what i have now are cheeks that are completely covered in visible lines, some around under my nose, red dots all over, and sometimes acne that i never got before. I barely flare anymore except for bending over and being embarrassed, and after shower and exercise. It's just all red-all the time--90% being the veins.
So....i've been told by many websites, dr's and sufferers that the veins are permanent and can only be removed by laser. I'm sure demeodex works, but what about the veins?
And second question---are there any negative testimonials? Ppl. that it just didn't work for? and did they receive a refund of anykind.
Bcuz the length of years i've been living with this you can imagine my frustration at dr's and companies that put "rosacea" on thier products and its another $10-100 down the tubes. Also, i'm scared to death of lasers. as rosaceans know, the longer you have it, the more sensitive your skin becomes, so imagine my horror when the doc said it'll feel like a short rubberband snap!! i chickened out.
anyway, thx in advance for your responses, this seems like a very helpful site w/o pushing products or selling, even though it's a site re:a product line. I'm really REALLY hoping this will work for me.
forgot, last question...just curious...i have what they call peach-fuzz, very fine blond hairs all over my face, not very noticable, but has there been any research that this might harbor mites or other things?

Hello, welcome at the forum

Everybody has hair on the face, only maybe less visible then in your case but it is there so hair follicles are everywhere
on face where demodex mites can thrive.
If your rosacea is because of demodex mites yes or no is hard to tell just like this, some are completely because of the mites,
some will get a big improvement with removing the mites like for example, stop the acne and spots part, and some
rosaceas have nothing to do with the mites, need to try to find out.
The veins can also be because of the damage demodex mites do but what the results will be in your case is
impossible to tell, everybody is to different in case of rosacea, there is not a single cure which will work for everybody.
A sensitive skin which is many times the case for rosacea sufferers can be a problem to start the treatment,
you will need to start very slow and only use a tiny, tiny bit in the beginning till you know how much
your skin can handle, it is never necessary to use a lot though.
We have no problem to give you a refund in case the treatment will not work for you.
Best to start with one ZZ and one Fumanling, use the Fumanling in the morning and the ZZ in the evening,
maybe there is one of the two which your skin can not handle, then you need to use only the other one.
Big pores ore most of the time because of demodex mites so yes, they should become smaller again.

Hi,

I have peach fuzz. I use an epilator to remove it. I have to be very careful though! I have much better results if I keep the hairs pulled from the follicles.

Tweezing them creates injury.
Waxing is damaging and inefficient.
Shaving is no help.

Laser hair removal is something I am tempted to try sometime.

thank you walter and marla. i think i'm going to go ahead and give it a shot. just in case i look hideous for awhile, i'm going to double shop, i'm the only grocery shopper for the house;)
and marla, what kind of epilator do you use? theres many, different prices and pain levels too.

I went through one epilator already and am on my second. The first was the Emjoi top of the line model. Then I bought a Panasonic.

I chose to buy a Panasonic because of the brand name and lower price. I figured it would be more durable, and that they had done their homework. I wish I had bought another Emjoi instead.

The Emjoi lasted a year or two. The part that wears out is apparently not replaceable. The body of the unit is practically nothing, but the head kicks --- and takes names!

Anyway, be sure to read the literature that comes with whichever unit you buy. The instructions specifically say that the epilator was not designed for use on the face.

There are plenty of good reasons, and here I list some:
1) Hair that accidentally gets caught is gone.
2) Skin tags, scabs, warts, growths, can be injured.
3) Strings, beads, threads, your pets, the pillow case -- everything that comes close enough can be snapped up. Even a small sofa.
4) Wrinkles around the eyes can get caught. Eyelashes could get caught and cause big trouble.
5) They have a really good law firm on retainer.

And so on. You get the idea.

Pain? What's that? What pain? Does it hurt? No, not really. It's like being snapped several thousand times with a little bitty rubber band. It's startling at first, but easily tolerated.

Shopping. You shop? I make the UPS man bring me stuff from drugstore or netgrocer.

You're not "hideous" now. You are not going to be hideous later. You will never be hideous.
