Antihistamine
Hello, Does anyone know if using antihistamine would prevent the "breakout" that most people seem to get from the dying mites? O by the way, I'm yet to receive the products (waiting patiently). I really hope these creams work for me, I've had rosacea for 10 yrs. It has turned me into a recluse. Living in the tropics have made things more difficult, the heat and all.... I can't even seem to find a sunscreen that agrees with my skin, they all cause me to break-out. PEACE.

No, I don't think regular antihistamines would prevent breakouts. You really need something like a crotico-steroid. But that's not a good idea for the entire face for extended periods of time. It could cause health problems.
I know when I was going through the breakout period, I was also taking an antihistamine to get to sleep every night. (I had/have trouble sleeping.) And it didn't seem to affect the breakout, but then I don't have a baseline to compare it against, so it might have helped in a marginal way. I don't know.
I think the best thing to do when in the breakout period is to use Carley's Clear & Smooth liquid benzoyl peroxide face wash. I used it before. It helps. It works by killing the bacteria which causes the inflammation. But it won't totally prevent it. It just helps with it. And because you wash it off after a minute or two, it won't interfere with the other creams, and it shouldn't turn your face red like BP creams would.
Oh, and it might not be the sunscreens which are causing you to breakout. It might have to do with the fact that your skin produces more oil when the weather is hot and humid. That increases the bacteria, and that causes breakouts. All the more reason to start on Carley's.
