ZZ and Sun Exposure

Post by cashisclay »

I suffer from rosacea. I have permanent redness on my nose and cheeks and I flush/blush easily. I am currently on Melanotan to cover up the redness and protect my skin since I am in the sun a lot (I'm a lifeguard). Anyways, I want to get rid of the disease in the worst way and everything I've tried including IPL has failed. I want to give ZZ a go, but am not sure using it now while out in the sun all the time would be wise Should I avoid using ZZ and Acarid until the summer is over or does it not matter that I am in the sun a ton?

Hello

Welcome to the forum

Sun is bad but since you cannot avoid this because of your job
use ZZ only in the evening and protect your skin during the day
with a good quality sun block.
If you are not in the sun one day, also try to use during the day.
Please don’t use to much ointment, especially not the first weeks.
If you are patient, you will heal, you will see.

Thanks Walter. I will start with a little on my nose to see how I react. When I'm at work I wear a SPF 65 sunscreen on my face with Zinc in it and reapply a ton. I also try to wear a hat. How about the Acarid soap?

The soap is a help and since you need to wash anyway
it is better to use it but it is not necessary.
Using the soap for whole the body also helps to prevent
fungus, infections etc.
