Is exfoliating okay?

Now I'm almost two weeks into treatment with the Fumanling Cream and the little bumps have sort of dry little crusts at the pore openings. Would it be okay to exfoliate my face with a wet washcloth (gently, of course) or would that make it worse??
I'm trying to be patient through the initial breakout, but I'm tired of looking like this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I ex-foliate with water and a finger, just rub hard. I think it helps. You will see much improvement in about a week. Two weeks I looked awful. Three I looked much better.
Are you using xfml during the day? It really helps.
