does anyone know whether usuing mascara actually increasses you chances of demodex infestation? by maybe feeding them or something?I read this on another forum.

Buy new mascara.
Remove all of the mascara from your lashes each day.
Take normal precautions to keep from contaminating the mascara.
If you have doubts about contaminated mascara, replace it with new.
The mascara can act as a barrier between the Demodex and treatments. Thoroughly remove your makeup every day -- especially before going to bed at night. Be meticulous in this task.
