demodex lifespan away from host

how long can demodex live away from its host ? for example in bedding and pillow cases etc.

is changing the bedding very important during treatment if their are no pets in the home?

The eggs need to be removed regularly; the mites die quickly.

In a dry environment they die soon, a couple of hours, however, in a more humid environment like towels,
sometimes bedding they can survive even a couple of day's, best is to change pillow cover regularly,
bedding is not so important.
