I saw on the old archives someone said that you could treat your kitty with frontline, a flea and tick and skin parasite medication, and it would also remove mites.
Im concerned my kitty and I could be passing the mites back and forth to each other.
He scratches his chin sometimes, and I worry hes got them on his chin.
Frontline for cats?

Re: Frontline for cats?
Hello
The problem is that you can never kill the eggs end nymphs so
treating your cat with a pesticide once in a while will not do more then kill some adults.
If the cat doesn’t have a rash I would not do that, cats always scratch
here and there, can also be because of flees, in that case a pesticide helps of course.
Don’t become to paranoid about demodex mites from pets, if the pet is healthy,
she/he will have not so many mites that it becomes a threat for you.
It is so that pet demodex mites are indeed found on humans but most of the time
they come from a pet which has a serious demodex mite problem which again, most of the time
is not recognized and not treated.
