I am new to this site, and brand new to the discovery of these mites as related to skin problems. But I have been suffering from various skin troubles on and off for close to 20 years now (I'm 32, and this all started around age 13), and I am so happy to find possible answers to my skin problems!

I have also been suffering a lot of health problems (tested positive for H-pylori and both pregnancies were cut short by Preeclampsia... both babies made it, though... one born at 24 weeks, one at 32 weeks). I'm wondering if the health problems weakened my immune system and made me easier to attack by mites, or if the mites caused these health problems? I noticed the rash was especially awful while my body was shutting down from Preeclampsia (both times). They prescribed Metrocream (Metronidazole 0.75%) and Beta-Val (Betamethasone Valerate 0.1%).

I have tried Elocon cream, without much luck, for the past 2 years. And Tetracycline when I was a teenager. Again, not much luck. I've even tried laser treatments! I have completed 5 laser treatments now, and they won't continue treating me until I find out what is causing my nose rashes and small white pimples all over my face. Now I think it's the mites! I also have itchy scalp, which gets scabby if I skip a few days of shampooing!

And I just read that studies have shown that Metronidazole alone isn't enough to kill Demodex mites, and I don't know anything about the Beta-Val or what it does.

So I have just ordered ZZ and XFM along with women's Acarid removing soap, and YRENBAO Woman 30 bag (to use on scalp and body). Also the ringworm cream for my feet, because I have very rough patches all over my feet. I'm also wondering about my dry, red bumpy patches on the backs of my upper arms and legs. Maybe this is from the mites too!

These creams won't be here for a few days, so in the meantime I bought dandruff shampoo and conditioner, Cetaphil soap, and have been using my Metrocream and Beta-Val. My rash seems a little better (less bumpy), but still very itchy and red.

I swear that I can feel the mites crawling around inside my nose, on my scalp, around my nose and under my eyes! I changed my pillow to allergen free and washed all clothing and bedding.

I find changing my diet helps some and exercising more helps a lot with fatigue (and weight loss), but the rash around my nose just won't quit.

I'm feeling hopeful, but still very worried. Do you think I should use the Metrocream until the ZZ and XFM arrive? Do you think I have a weakened immune system and should seek help for this? Maybe the mites are there, but my inability to ward them off is a symptom of an even larger issue, like cancer or AIDS! I have tested negative for AIDS, but maybe I need an MRI!

Any advice you can give me is appreciated. Thank you, Lauren

Welcome on the forum Lauren

That's some story, luckily both baby's made it, congratulations.................................
You have indeed a big possibility you have a demodex mite problem already a long time,
all the stuff you used does nothing against demodex mites so could not heal you.
You can use the metrocream till your order arrive if it helps you, otherwise no use.
It is not well known why some people have problems with demodex mites and others not,
in fact many have, look at the teenagers with acne but pity enough, they don't know there acne is because of this mites.
One factor can indeed be the immune system, also thyroid gland problems, the type of your skin etc.
as far as we know not the other way around, this mites can create rashes, acne, rosacea, swollen nooses etc.
but not other diseases.(as far as known)
Demodex mite problems can also occur on the back and chest, on the arms I don't know but probable yes.
Legs, I have no idea, I know this can happen in extreme cases but please don't start to panic,
it can be a lot of things on your body, I think best to try the Fumanling cream first on the body places.
Yes, feeling the mites crawling and stinging is not an illusion, they are there, most people who have them don't feel them
because no allergic reaction towards this mites, only when the skin becomes more sensitive you can feel them,
itch is one of the symptoms but not a necessity, the same as for example with a scabies infection, the itch only
starts after some weeks because then the allergic reaction starts, with demodex mites it can take many years
before this happens or never.
Maybe a good idea to do a general health check up, it looks you are afraid you have something really bad
and living with this idea is not nice and influences your life, if everything ok after checking you will
feel much better which is good for everything.
Be patient, don't use to much, just a bit, especially in the beginning and if questions, just
mail us or ask here on the forum.

Welcome again

I really appreciate your input, Walter.

This helps to know the mites are not causing other health problems. I have made an appointment for a general health exam and bloodwork for next month, and will use my ZZ and XFM, soaps and shampoos in the meantime (as soon as they arrive... can't wait for them to get here, but it might not be until monday now that the weekend is here).

I have tested negative in the past for Thyroid, Diabetes, and AIDS, so I assume all issues are more likely due to stress, sometimes bad eating habits too. I plan to take much better care of myself now all around, and my stress is starting to lower now.

I'm a bit concerned about spreading these to my babies or my husband. Or possibly they have them already! I kiss them all the time! Will I keep infecting them or will they infect me again every time I kiss them? We live in a loving household, and I'd like to continue to show them my affection.

Can babies use the products? They are now 2 and 4 years old. All 3 of them (husband and kids) have flawless skin. So unfair! Just kidding. They are lucky. But I do worry about spreading these mites.

I wish there was a way to make Western medicine more aware of these treatments. It seems it would solve so many issues, and so many people need these products... it could be a big hit here!

I don't have funds to do so, but if I did I would open up an entire store that just sells your products! Although, I am a designer who does branding and advertising, packaging and catalogues, so maybe I can help that way. Let me know if you need anything like this!

Thanks again and I truly can't wait to get started. I KNOW these creams will work for me. My symptoms are just exactly what you described (large pores, red rash around nose, swollen nose in morning, itchy everywhere, some occasional acne breakouts, etc).

Good you will check your health, you will feel much better after this.
No need to be concerned for your husband and kids, lots of people have mites and infect each other all the time,
if not you, they will become in contact because of other people, there is no way to avoid this, if the living circumstances for the mites are not good with them,
they will have not many mites or none, and hopefully will get no problems, if your children get acne when becoming teenager then you know
what to do.
No need to treat your children or husband now if no signs, don't worry about this.
Thanks for your offer, who knows?
actually, we will have to design a package for the Zhongzhou ointment for Europe soon.....................

Hi Walter... thanks so much. I am starting to understand all of this now.

( And YES I would be overjoyed to design your ZZ packaging for Europe, so please see the Private Msg I just sent you for details on that. )

My DS products just shipped, so I'm looking foward to killing off these mites beginning next week! I figured I would keep using my Metrocream to prep my skin for the XFM in the meantime. My skin seems to be able to handle it so far, even though it's obviously not curing me of mites since I have 5 new red spots under my eyes now where I felt that crawling sensation the other day (gross).

I also remember telling my husband a few weeks ago that I felt my entire face "tingling and getting puffy and swollen" ... so I have a feeling I'm infected quite badly with these mites, now that I know what that was!
