Hello everyone,

I've been suffering with this horrific skin problem for 8 years or so. This Demodex has got to be the cause. It all makes sense. The only thing is yesterday I was able to extract some hairs and skin (from area of jaw-line and under chin of which I thought would for sure produce some proof) from face. My friend(lab Tech at a hospital) was unable to see anything but regular hair & blood cells.
My condition is sooooo bad and as been for a while. I'm ripping my face apart. A lot of scarring and trama to face. It's very aggresive and moving well into hair line around ears, up nose and down my throat.
I have a hard time getting out and going to work because my face is always bleeding from me plucking these things(infected hairs with hard capsel like cover) that out no-one can seem to see. how can I tell for sure?

My theory is that I'm very badly infested with this parasite. Many, many doctors have mis-diagnosed this they have never mentioned Demodex. I've been through several courses of Acutane, many steriods, antibiotics and laser hair removal(on face)- ouch. Telling me it's cystic acne & psuedo folliculitis barbea.

I pray for answears and help. :?:

OREILLY, FIRST OF ALL YOU SHOULD SEE A DOCTOR, NOT A LAB TECH. IN MY OPINION. I USE TO BE A LABORATORY TECHNICIAN, AND I WAS CERTAINLY NOT TAUGHT THIS IN MEDICAL SCHOOL. SEE A CERTIFIED PHYSICIAN, WHO IS ABLE TO CHECK YOU IN PERSON NOT YOUR HAIR FOLLICULES. I AM ALSO SURPRISED TO HEAR YOU ARE PICKING AT THEM LIKE THIS, CAN CAUSE FURTHER INFECTION AND MAKE MATTERS WORSE. I KNOW IT MAY BE HARD TO FIND A PRACTICIONER THAT CAN DO THIS, BUT ITS CERTAINLY WORTH CHECKING THE PROPER WAY. GOOD LUCK AND KEEP US POSTED. BYE TAMARA
