demodex and hair loss
Hello everyone,
This is my first post here. In October of 2004 I diagnosed myself with folliculitis
caused by demodex and started a treatment program to eliminate them. My
treatment was not Demodex Solutions, however it has been very successful.
I started using the product on my face and eventually used it all over my body at
least once a day and all over my face and head at least twice a day. I did not
realize when I started how badly infested I was, and the process was traumatic to
say the least. I am almost completely healed, the foliculitis in my beard was the
first to go (you could see the dead mites clinging to the whisker as it grew out),
and the ?chicken skin? on the back of my arms healed. My forehead, however,
practically exploded with eruptions that lead directly from my eyes and into my
hairline following the contours of my skull (never a pimple on my forehead for my
whole adult life). The pattern of eruptions matched my male pattern baldness
(MBP) exactly.
Since I have eliminated the mites, I am seeing new hairs grow where there have
been none for years and my eyebrows are almost twice as thick as they were a
year ago. I have tried, in vain, to tell others about this possible treatment for
MPB.
My question is: are there any studies that conclusively link demodecosis with hair
loss and MPB. I have seen numerous studies that suggest a link, but no one is
willing to make a conclusive statement about demodex and hair loss.
Thanks to anyone that replies,
dj

Hi Pas,pas wrote:what did you use? Is the product safe?
I am pretty sure I have mites my eyebrows, hair on my head and eyelashes are falling out like mad
how long did it take you. Did you suffer from bad skin before this. Is your skin healed now?
Being new to the forum I do not know of proper etiquette for discussing specific
products. I have no problem telling you, but would like to know that this is OK
before doing so.
I started in October of 2004, so about 13 months so far. I had a patch of folliculitis
in my beard forever, but I did not have bad skin until the past few years when I
noticed a change. I started to get blackheads, had a strange lump show up one
day beside my nose and started to see red blotches in my temple area. However,
I did not look any different than any other person; I appeared quite normal.
Last summer I developed seb derm from wearing a breathing apparatus and was
prescribed an antifungal corticosteroid. This was the worst idea ever. I started to
develop pimples and began to do my own research to find my own cure.

When I saw the pictures in the link above, I knew that I had demodex as this is
exactly what the whiskers in my beard looked like when I plucked them out.
Anyway, I well on my way to complete recovery. Like I said I did know how bad I
had it and where the mites died you could see where they were living. My
eyelashes no longer fall out, my eyebrows are twice as big as they have ever
been, and my hair is growing back.
Soon as I feel it is OK to discuss the product I used, I will let you know (a quick
google search should bring it up).
Sorry to not be a huge help at this time,
dj
Hello all,
Walter email the following:
"Hello DJ
Thank you for posting but since we are a commercial site I would appreciate that you inform me first before making any advertising for a product.
Not only because we are commercial but also to protect the wellness of our customers which is the most important, they have trust in us and I don?t want they would become excited for nothing, please write me what you used and I will have a look, if there is indeed a possibility that you used something that might be working and can be a benefit for our customers then we will see.
Best regards

I gave him my info (product and use) and if he is inclined then he will pass it on.
Do you know of anyone who is regrowing hair after killing demodex?
Thanks,
dj

Yes. New hair.
Thicker stronger hair came in after I eliminated the mites with ZZ.
My eyelashes became full and strong. They had been brittle, and fell out easily.
My eyebrows grew strong, and the hairs are not as easy to pluck.
Yes, the hair on my head improved even though I did not specifically treat the scalp. I have no more itching on my scalp.
I have come to associate an itch with a breakout soon afterward.
Best of luck in keeping these creatures away.

Thanks Marla for sharing you experience.
Flower: as far as I know Walter has recieved my message.
I will wait until I hear from him before I post again.
I am really interested in finding others who have regrown hair after they treated their demodex.
I would like to hear from others with male pattern baldness, but anyone's story is of interest.
Again, thanks to all,
dj

Star did it.
Star* on the old board did it. She grew eyelashes after using the eye ointment.
She didn't believe it would happen, but it did.
It happens.

I swear . . .
If you treat with Demodex Solutions' products, your hair will improve after 3 months, according to my own anecdotal experience. Using only the ZZ, my eyebrows, lashes, and the hair on my head became stronger and grew quickly.
I am convinced that baldness can be treated by using the ZZ as directed, even if it is not directly applied to the bald areas. I choose not to explain this for the sake of time, since, as with most of us, I have precious little.
Suffice it to say: The Demodex Solutions' products work.
I am not opposed to recommending cosmetics that do not aggravate our skin problems, since many cosmetics contribute to our problems.
I am opposed to referring users to other acne treatment products for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is Walter's concern for the safety and health of his customers.
It is sufficient to know that people have become aware of Demodex as a problem, and that there is hope where there was none before. Without Walter's dedication to this problem, acne would still be caused by chocolate and french fries.
Sincerely,
Marla
