demodex making hair fall out?

Hey everyone... just a question,
I started using a product for thinning hair because my hair is naturally thin and my dermatologist reccommended it. After using it about a week, I woke up one morning and my hair was coming out like 5-10 stands every time I ran a brush through a section of it. I was wondering if this could be from demodex. The shampoo has a lot of plant root extracts in it and stuff. I was wondering if the hair loss started all of a sudden a week after use because it may have possibly killed a bunch of mites and we all know that it's not too much fun when they are dying off. Does this seem plausible to anyone? I am still waiting to hear from DS because I would rather use a shampoo that I know is going to kill the little pests. But until then... gotta make do. Girls don't like losing their hair
