I tried tea tree oil from a shampoo and it didn't work. But if there is a product with tea tree oil in it that is made for the eyes, I would try it. Do you know of such a product?

Ihave tried tea tree mixed with 50% joba oil. It is kinda strong . You might want to try to cut it to 75% joba. Some sight recommend macadamia oil but it is hard to find.let me know how it works out for you.

TTO is very dangerous, I've read reports of scrached corneas and even blindness!

There's a load of other stuff that's supposed to be able to do the trick. I'll be posing a list soon.

I have tried TTO initially, but I'm finding it toxic, smells horrible, and it's impossible to get the right formulation. For example, most shampoos and creams have 10%, which is not enough for killing mites, so I have to dilute 100% in it, which is difficult to measure whether this is too strong, and what the lasting effect will be. I'm going to stick with 10% sulfur soaps, DS products, and maybe borax here and there, but it is very hard to deal with the body.
