Hot oil treatment????

In the past couple of years I have noticed that my hair has dried out really bad. I used to have beautiful hair and it is now dry and almost frizzy. Could this be caused by mites? I want to do a hot oil treatment but I'm afraid because they supposedly like oil?? What does the forum think?

Interesting. I use to have fine hair and its eventually got thicker and its now frizzy too. Could be becaue of the mites. I may order the shampoo at some point and see if that works. I haven't heard about any hot oil treatment.

Oh, please don't use the hot oil treatment. Not mayonnaise, either.
