I have heard of people smothering mites with oil, and I noticed several times a whitehead would appear after putting olive oil on my face. I'm just wondering if this is nonsense or what.

Also, from my short experience with dealing with dermatologists, I can tell you that they have little to offer regarding killing demodex. Mostly permethrin and ivermectin. I have them on various places on my body too (although it isn't terribly noticable), so I'm going to start using 10% sulfur soaps.

If your hair problem is not male pattern baldness, it is most likely demodex or nutrition related. I would use DS shampoo, or something similar. It will take months though, so don't expect instant results.
