I think that what you said was very reasonable. But, what about this? suppose you composed a catchier post title? I ain't saying your content is not good, however suppose you added something that grabbed people's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda plain. You might peek at Yahoo's front page and note how they create news headlines to grab viewers to click. You might try adding a video or a related pic or two to get readers excited about what you've written. In my opinion, it would make your website a little bit more interesting.
