My understanding is that peels are only done to exfoliate the dead skin more quickly. They don't do anything else. They can irritate the skin, however. Especially if you're using something drying like ZZ cream. So it's best not to use them. ZZ is a pretty good exfoliant by itself. You can use packag...

I think what you described sounds like what happened/happens to me when I sweat. You can minimize the problem by washing right afterwards. That's the only way to deal with it. The theory is that the sweat carries the mites from the top of the head to your face and back. So it's important to wash as ...

I was going to say stop using the cocoa butter, but you already mentioned that you have the condition with or without it. Did you have it before using any cocoa butter ever? If you didn't, then it probably is the cocoa butter, and it just takes time for the body to stop its allergic response. In som...

What you're doing is fine. Make sure you wash and dry your face before applying ZZ at night and after you wake-up in the morning. Moisturizer is fine to use during the day. You could also use XFML cream during the day. That's the recommended thing to do, since XFML acts like a moisturizer but is als...

I heard from at least two people here who said the foaming face wash was more drying to the skin than the soap. So if sensitivity to dryness is your issue, stick with the soap. I've personally never used the foaming face wash, though, so I can't compare. I will say that I have fairly sensitive skin,...

Re: steveinaustiin
I just don't think everyone's body changes as you say. I feel some people do have triggers which they've never come into contact with that their body simply can't handle which causes their immune systems to weaken extensively allowing these mites a more manageable ground to breed and multiply. You ...

i think the gene defect is not with the immune system, but rather on how the body and mind handle stress...specifically the hormones the liver produces when these are out of wack (esp T to DHT conversion, but on a lesser scale, adrenalin and epineperhine production), it lends a hand to opportunisit...

Re: not making much sense
If people needed to take this the rest of their lives then I don't think anyone would want to buy this product because it would be just like all the other treatments..being just that...just a treatment. It doesn't make any sense. If your body was able to fight off these mites for let's say the 1st ...

Not sure about this. It sounds like you did the right thing by reducing your dosage to ZZ every other night. So that's good. But it didn't work. Here's what I would do in your situation. First, I would stop using ZZ. Some people are allergic to sulfur products, and it results in acne similar to what...

I think there are a ton of messages in the past, if you took the time to look, all saying that ZZ is the more powerful of the two products. The recommended program is this. At night, wash your face with soap, preferably with the Acarid soap. Rinse. Dry your face. Then apply ZZ cream. Do this about 1...

Steve, your theory raises 2 questions for me. Firstly, if the problem is a weakness in DNA, then howcome many people are fine for years then suddenly there's a problem? Secondly, how come so many teenagers suffer from acne? do you think they all have a DNA weakness? As for dogs, as far as I am awar...

Re: it says it is
If you look on the demodex site it says that this is a fda approved cure. i've read over the whole website and it does say this. so...i don't know where your coming from. if the creams eliminate the mites then our immune system would be able to return to enough strength to fight off the mites which...
