How I got rid of Demodex and how the creams helped me

Post by Minuca »

Hi, guys.

I thought it's nice to tell you all how I got rid of demodex.

In February 2007 i started having a really bad acnea. In June I've dicovered it's Demodex. I've started using the creams late July and by December I was clear. However, it's not as easy as it sounds.

It's not enough to use the creams, to have to help them. So I've started to attack Demodex on more than just one part:
1)Food: I completly cut from the list sweets and dairy. This helped a lot not only my face but I also lost weight :)

2) I've tried different antibiotics in the same time, but honestly I don't think it's good to abose antibiotics like I did.

3) I've learned how to use the creams correctly. My skin could only support the green & white cream on the cover (not the one with pink). You have to be really careful not to use too much, using to much with make you skin REALLY flaky, and it will hurt and you'll have blood veins. Use the soup on your face and if you feel it's too strong, use smething smooth to clean the face, like organic lavender soAp )lavender is very good for your acne). I used to wash my face with Lavender soap, dry it with tissues so I touch my face with something steril and then I used the cream but a little bit diluated in water. I used a spray from Avene with thermal water and then, imeidatly, I used the cream which diluated a bit and covered every part of my face really nice.

4) Flaky skin: once a week or twice, depending on how bad it was I used a peel off mask to ckear all the flakyness away and reaveal nice and clean skin. This helped as well.

5) Red Veins: I also statted to have red veins around my nose, but in order to get rid of then and prevent for hapening, I got some medicines from my doctor to help me with capilar circulation. Using medicine for capilar circulation helped me in two ways: one was reducing and preventing the red veins, second it helped my skin heal faster and those huge crators healed better and left less scars.

6) For the girls only: I laso started taking birth control pills with estrogen and this helped as well with the acne. Unfortunatly this can help only the girls...

7. Walter: Walter was a real help because I had problems and loads of questions and he really understood and got back to my questions really fast. When you have such problems you really want to have your questions answear sooo fast and you're getting really nervous about it

8. DON'T!!!!! Don't use the cream on your neck! The skin on your necj is so much more sensitive than the one on your face - I used it and it got all read and feeling off and itchy and hurting all the time... then I had horrible breakouts on the neck and a horrible redness - it took me 6 weeks to recover, it was a nightmaire but I didn't knew I shouldn't use it on the neck, so be careful with this.

9. DON'T!!!!!! Using more cream won't make the Demodex dye faster. You have to have a lot of patience, read well about it, ask Walter any questions you might have andhrlp the creams as much as you can: a good diet, good products on your face, if you have red veins maybe a supliment for capilar circulation, etc.

My face is clear now, not completly, but nothing as huge as it used to be. I can wear make up and I still have a jar of creams that I use only every now and then dilueted in water. I'm being also careful with my diet. I've cured from Demodex, but I had loads of patience..

Thank you so much for your testimonial Minuca

I could not describe what to be careful for, better then you,
you will help a lot of people with this.
The main thing is listen to your skin, don't use more then your skin can handle
and most of all, be patient..........

Also, thank you for the comments about me trying to help people,
pity enough, I can not do this always, it takes so much time and time
is something I don't have enough (like the most of us this days), many times,
I start to read the forum at 2 a clock in the night and have itch to answer
but I need to sleep too........

Thanks again

Hi Minuca and Walter and the rest of the forum,

First of all, I'm really happy to learn that the products and other regimen helped Minuca.
But I need to address some of Minuca's DO's and DON'T's:

1. I have a VERY sensitive skin with tendency to veins, BUT I seem to not have side effect to zz nor xfml AT ALL!!! My skin, except for maybe the first week of treatment, is not dry, not flaky, not itchy more than before.
My acne before treatment and now is ONLY on my neck and jaw line, so I HAVE to put the treatment on my neck too, but no harm done my friend. Both my neck and face are ok with the treatment so far. I've been treating 7 weeks already.
So, I'm not sure it's good to say so extremely "DON'T!!!!! Don't use the cream on your neck!...." - as everyone is different and some may react badly where others react good....

I was even wondering Walter, is there any point in adding one more time of treatment during the day? - I now use zz at night and xf in the morning. My skin is still oily in between treatments. Can I use ZZ in the morning + night and then put XF in the afternoon (in between 2 zz's)? Could that help the procedure? - I think that maybe my skin got used too quickly to the creams and maybe it's not enough for it?

2. I have heard about people like Minuca taking out sweet and other foods from their diets. But, Walter - do you believe it's a MUST? I haven't changed my diet, but I'm not a sweet tooth person either.... I love dairy products though, and I can't think of giving this up.... Other than that I eat pretty healthy and excercise a lot. Can my treatment work without changing diet?

Looking forward to Walter's and other's replies.
Thanks.

Bayarea,

Maybe you're one of the lucky persons that can use it on the neck. I had a big problem and Walter confirmed I should use it carefully on the neck and recomended me to have a test first. If you really need to use it on the next, make a trest for a week or two - my reaction was after a week of treatment.

I've read on this forum about people using the cream and having a diet too and I thought it helps as well - and it did. I don't think it's a must, but when you have flushing problems and you have horrible acnea, you'd do anything to help cure it, and I'm positive it helped me a lot. You can read on other Acnea websites, diaries and sweets are not your skin's best friend - but then again this is a personal choice, Bayarea, if you want to help the creams or not, if you think it helps you or not..

The only recomendation on the web site is regarding the B vitamin that can help and also thing for your imune system (I took Echinaceea)

I have addapted my treatment using information I got from the other persons on the forum.. and I think I did a good job, since I'm clear now.

Also, I've seen you say you have acnea more on your jaw line and neck - usually this type of acnea has some hormonal issues behind (that's what my docotor told me) so maybe it would help to do some tests for hormones...

I wish you good luck with your treatment - I really believe the creams work so hold on to it.

Hi !

Do you still take birth control pill ?

Cos if you do, then your results don' t prove anything...

Sorru, I m a strong believer of what' s said here, I know the solution is killing the mites, but if you take oestrogen then the results won' t be corretc !

Demodex mites are hormonaly stimulated... that s why so many girls solve their skin problem by taking the pills.
In fact it does not solve anything it just maintains a artificial balance in the organism.

Walter, I' ve been thinking a lot of many things, Working in pharmacies, have doctors in family and ha done my own resaerch not only among what I found about chines medicine but all over the world choices of treatments for rosacea... ;)
I want to do something with your team and make the comercialisation on the products possible here in France (and believe me there s a lot that can be done if we do things a intelligent way, cos laboratories won' t make it easy for us...)

I ll send you an e mail, so make shure you ll get it...
;)

I will look out for your email, If I don't answer, means I did not get it.

I don't think Demodex mites are directly stimulated by hormones, in-directly yes,
because hormones influences the sebum production which in turn, influences the
demodex mites population, the more sebum, the more they can thrive.
Look at teenagers.........................
